The Grilled Caesar
Not just a basic caesar (although we love those too)!

For those times you want to show off, this is the perfect dinner party menu, as it is guaranteed to impress both the foodie and the picky eater. It's great to enjoy at a summer patio dinner as an appetizer or as a main alongside some grilled seafood.
Nutritional yeast and tahini sneaks in some additional B12, amino acids and antioxidants.

Add Spiced Roasted Chickpeas as a garnish for a bit of added crunch and protein.

Ingredients:

1 Romaine Heart
-
Olive Oil
-
2 Garlic Cloves, diced
-
3 tbsp Tahini (I like Nuts To You Nut Butter's Organic Fair Trade Sesame Tahini)
-
2 tbsp Lemon Juice
-
3 tbsp Water
-
1 tbsp Nutritional Yeast, plus additional for garnish
-
1/4 tsp Salt
-
1/4 tsp Cracked Peppercorn
-
Crushed Chili Flakes, to garnish
Equipment:

Blender
-
Measuring spoons
-
Cutting board
-
Frying pan/BBQ

Process:

Add garlic cloves, tahini, lemon juice, water, nutritional yeast, salt and peppercorn to blender and blend.

Heat pan on medium heat with olive oil/Alternatively heat BBQ on medium-low heat.

Brush romaine leaves with olive oil.

Grill on pan/BBQ for approximately 1-2 minutes on each side until the leaves are charred.

Drizzle dressing over the lettuce and garnish with sprinkle of nutritional yeast, peppercorn and some chili flakes.
